From my blogging experience, success depends on three things:
1) Not really caring if anyone reads. Do it because you want to, and because you think your thoughts are correct.
2) Try to post at least once per day. If you do have readers, they give up if no new content shows up. (Corollary: make your posts fairly short and easy to read).
(1) My thoughts are always correct, but I'm not sure if it's worth my time if nobody is paying attention.
(2) No way I have time to post once per day...but I will try to pick up the pace a little.
(3) How do I fix my sidebar?
The irony of this is that the only person who appears to be continuously checking my blog is Matto, who has little interest in sports other than baseball. So perhaps the best tip would be to do a lot more posts about baseball...
I downloaded your page's code, and the problem is those url links in your posts are not wrapping correctly and are fucking up your sidebar. I'm not sure why this is happening, but replace the text with something instead of those long ass urls. Your sidebar will go back to the top.
Okay, no more whining. I'll post stuff regardless of whether people respond. Maybe people are reading and not writing. Even if they aren't, I guess I can just use this blog as a repository for my opinions. Might be interesting to look at what I thought about somebody 3 years later and see if I was right...

But since my blog was a failure, what do I know.
