Pretty Good 2007 NFL Mock Draft
Decent mock drafts are hard to come by, but this one looked pretty good.

Quinn probably will be #1 overall, which will probably make him a Detroit Lion. They could use him, although there's a good chance he goes the way of Joey Harrington. Or maybe not...they spent a lot of high picks on WR talent, some of which has panned out (though most of it hasn't), so if they can get any protection at all for their QB, there are some tools there. I'm not a big Quinn fan, but I think he'd be a major improvement on any QB they have in Detroit right now, so it's a pretty good fit.
Raiders likely get #2. I'm a Raiders fan, and I would love to see them grab either Peterson or Lynch. I'd say Peterson is more likely at that spot. A good young back could come in and help out their horrible excuse for an offense right away. They probably won't do that, though. I'm thinking they take Calvin Johnson...very talented WR, but not someone who will come in and help out right away (WR's rarely do, though I don't think Matt Millen ever got that memo). Then they will pile expectations on him, he won't live up to them, and the Raiders will ruin yet another promising career (see Marcus Allen, Jerry Porter, etc.)
Overall, I think the Scott Wright mock draft is pretty good, though I have to think Peterson will go higher than #9 (I'd be very surprised to see him fall past the Texans), Ginn will go higher than 15 (he's just the playmaker the 49ers need on offense), Lynch will go higher than 20 (he would make a nice addition to the Titans backfield with Vince Young, and I couldn't see him falling past the Giants with Tiki retiring), Jarrett will go higher than 21 (he could push for early playing time in Atlanta alongside Lelie), and Brohm will go higher than 22 (Vikings, Falcons and Panthers all have to be taking a hard look at him...maybe someone will pull a Denver and trade up to take him somewhere in the teens). Posluszny should go higher than 27, too...maybe Jets or Chiefs.
But I could be wrong. Wright's mock draft is pretty good.

Agreed on J-Russell...have never been a fan, and I am also surprised to see him talked about as the #2 QB in the draft, going in the top half of the first round.
Garrett Wolfe, IMO, just isn't that good. He started out the season on a tear against weak opponents, but got shut down in his bowl game. I have seen him projected as a third rounder.
It's too bad about Adrienne Peterson. He probably should be the top pick in this draft. I would love to see the Raiders get him at #2, but they probably aren't smart enough to do it.
Calvin Johnson isn't a bad pick, but won't help them anytime soon. Wouldn't worry much about Randy Moss...he should be out the door within the next two years, along with Jerry Porter and Ron Curry, not to mention LaMont Jordan and Aaron Brooks. I think the Raider O is going to look very different next year, and even more different the year after that...but it won't get much better until they fix the real problem, which is the offensive line.
